Text/Image Hunt:

The adolescent shadow often appears as much blacker, more wholly evil, than it is.
The Ivory Tower And Harry Potter: Perspectives On A Literary Phenomenon

This is an image interpreting the "adolescent shadow" as puberty. A frightening event for some.

This is an image depicting a child hiding their eyes. You could think about them hiding their eyes from the photographer. Having your picture taken is not a very scary thing, but can be intimidating or frightening as a child.

This image I feel is contradictory to the sentence I chose. While gender identification sometimes may not seem like a terrible thing to question as a child, it can often lead to painful results.
